Patchwork Girl (1995) rewrites the classic novel Frankenstein (1818) in the form of a digital hypertext, stitching together various literary and philosophical bytes and pieces as well as human and nonhuman body parts to create a "modern monster". In her talk, Manuela Rossini will introduce this hybrid corpus as a paradigmatic example of unfolding posthuman subjectivity in dynamic interaction and co-authorship with technology and readers.
